The Victim/Witness Assistance Program of the 18th Judicial District Attorney's Office ensures that victims and witnesses of crime are treated with dignity, respect, courtesy and sensitivity, and that their rights, as provided by Louisiana Law are honored and protected.
Goal of the Victim/Witness Assistance Program is to: - Provide information on the criminal justice process to victims and witnesses
- Provide information on the availability of public or private programs which provide counseling, treatment or support to crime victims and co-ordinate and assist victims in receiving the necessary services
- Assist victims to prepare the victim/witness for court proceedings and testimony.
Currently Lisa Jarreau is the Victim Assistance Coordinator for the 18th Judicial District Attorney's Office. She can be contacted by calling the DA's Office in any one of the three parishes that make up the 18th J.D. |
