All drivers are subjected to a vision screening by the DMV, which measures eyesight with and without corrective glasses. If you are a veteran in California, the California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet) and the CalVet Connect program would like to provide you with information on benefits that you may be eligible for, such as employment, housing, education, and health care services. On the Driver License or Identification Card Application (DL 44) form, check the box that says, “I have served in the United States Military and I would want to receive veteran benefits information.” The DMV will transfer your name and postal address to the CalVet, who will then contact you with information on your benefits.
Unlicensed Drivers In California
A person who does not have a valid driving license or whose driving privileges have been suspended may not borrow your car. It is possible that your car will be detained for 30 days if an unlicensed driver is detected using it (CVC 14607.6).
